EUROPEAN ALLIANCE

The European Alliance is a network created to support victims of gender-based violence (GBV), to transform companies into leaders on this subject and to encourage behavioural change within the private sector.

Members of the European Alliance take a strong commitment to the fight against sexual harassment and gender-based violence to guarantee a gender safe environment for all workers including the newly hired and those in the internship, through:

    Encouraging the exchange of experiences and competencies among Social Economy Enterprises, and private companies.

    Establishing a transnational cooperation within the private sector
  • Image
    Lowering the tolerance threshold and the avoidance in reporting/responding
  • Image
    Engaging regional and local authorities as well as trade unions and employers in changing their mind-set and company’s approach
  • Image
    Affirming the Alliance as a new relevant point of reference in combating sexual harassment (including cyber-harassment) at the EU level

BECOME MEMBER OF THE ALLIANCE

The Charter of Engagement is a specific tool to better engage enterprises and employers in changing their mind-set, according to what is required at EU level.

Sign the Charter of Engagement to join the European Alliance members to engage in the network’s activities and to actively collaborate with other members. By signing this document, civil society, public authorities and businesses take a strong commitment to the fight against sexual harassment and GBV at the workplace.

    LEVELS OF ENGAGEMENT

    Joining the European Alliance is a multilevel process based on 3 different levels of engagement. The three levels of engagement are what is required to become an active key player in preventing and reporting sexual harassment cases but also encouraging and leading the way for other organisations to do the same.

    When you have completed one of the levels, you can collect your badge and show it with pride on your organisation’s website or social media channels.

    Engaging in the debate when you think of solutions, barriers, or approaches to combatting sexual harassment and creating safe workspaces, can make the difference.
